At the Fraunhofer FEP we develop PVD technologies for depositing thermal absorber layers and multilayer systems at favorable cost.
Favorable cost vacuum coating methods are also used in thin film photovoltaic technology. The technology portfolio of the Fraunhofer FEP covers most of the technologies that are required to manufacture thin film solar cells.
Using our electron beam and plasma technologies we can offer you solutions for individual process steps and in addition we can provide you with R&D services to improve and optimize technologies. We operate the necessary plants for scaling up technologies and processes to an industrial scale.
