With effect from April 17, 2024, the Fraunhofer FEP bears the long name Fraunhofer Institute for Electron Beam and Plasma Technology FEP. As part of the focus on electron beam and plasma technologies and the restructuring of activities in the field of organic electronics at the beginning of the year, the name change was decided by the Institute's Board of Trustees and the headquarters of the Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft.

Ongoing activities, contractual relationships, joint projects and NDAs with the Fraunhofer FEP all continue to be valid.
